Join local author Terra Brockman as she takes us through the 52 "seasons" on her brother Henry's biodiverse (650 varieties) vegetable farm and discusses how you can change the world with every bite you eat. She will bring early spring vegetables for you to taste (the wild ramp, if we're lucky!), and offer gardening and cooking tips as well. The event will also include a reading from her book, The Seasons on Henry's Farm, which provides historic, literary, and scientific background on the 5th-generation farm and its vegetables. A discussion and book signing will follow the presentation, with copies of the book on sale. Part of the Greener Choices book discussion group at the Wilmette Public Library on April 17th at 2PM. |
